Onsite massage therapy services allow for relaxation before heading home or getting those pesky knots worked out of your muscles before the big meeting. Massage therapy appointments are available in the Main Office and JFB Wellness Centers.
- Main Office Massage Therapy (GMI employees)
- Scheduling is available to GMI employees, with appointments opening up to four weeks in advance.
- NEW Myofascial Release Bodywork with Andrea!
- Myofascial sessions use slow, sustained pressure and gentle stretching to focus on 1–3 specific areas of restriction, with the goal of easing tension in the fascia and connective tissue. Upon request, neuromuscular and Cranial-Sacral Therapy techniques may also be incorporated.
- How it differs from traditional Swedish and deep tissue massage: Myofascial work is more targeted and typically uses little to no lotion. Rather than flowing or gliding strokes, the therapist applies sustained pressure with little or very slow movement to specific areas of restriction. Sessions generally focus on a few areas rather than the full body; a full-body session would typically require more than 60 minutes.
- Main Office Massage Therapy - Onsite Contractors
- Contractors with Main Office building access may schedule onsite massage therapy services with TC Fit, with limitations. Appointment availability opens seven days in advance and is limited to contractors with active building access. Priority scheduling and preferred pricing continue to be reserved for GMI employees.

- All sessions are customized to meet your personal needs and preferences.
- Table massage can be completed against the skin or over clothing. Massage therapists can work over clothing with compression and stretch techniques. Or if you choose to undress, lotion will be used to incorporate gliding techniques During the session all areas of the body not being worked will remain draped.
- 20 and 45-minute sessions allow for targeted work on one area of the body (such as: neck, low back, shoulder or hip) or generalized work on a moderate area of the body (such as: full back or lower body).
- 60-minute session may focus on specific areas of the body or incorporate full-body treatment for head-to-toe relaxation.
Chair Massage
- Individual chair massage sessions are available at the Main Office, select the option, "20-minute CHAIR massage" when scheduling.
- Individual chair massage sessions are not currently available at JFB.

What to Expect During Your Massage Session

Payments can be made before or after your session with credit card, personal check payable to TC Fit or cash (exact amount, no change is kept onsite). Gift certificates are also available.
- Appointments are booked as table massage sessions in a private treatment room. Table massage can be completed against the skin or over clothing. The therapist will work within your comfort zone and personal preference, applying pressure directly against skin or over clothing. During the session all areas of the body not being worked will remain draped. The therapist can work over or around any clothing you choose to leave on.
- Calming music will be played to help you relax. The therapist will check in with you periodically to make sure you are comfortable. You can ask for changes at any time (more/less pressure, spend more time on or avoid specific areas, adjustments to the room temperature, music, etc.).
- When your session is done the therapist will be available to answer any questions you have about the session. Everyone’s body reacts a little differently to massage. Plan on taking a few minutes to relax post massage to avoid feeling dizzy or ill.
- If you receive a deep tissue massage you may have soreness over the next day or two. Use an ice pack on these areas 2-3 times a day to help reduce swelling. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact the fitness staff for more guidance.
Pre/Postnatal Massage
- TC Fit massage therapists are comfortable working with pregnant clients and have experience in this area. However, please note that we are not certified in prenatal or postnatal massage. All massage therapy sessions are customized to the client's needs, the massage therapists will work the areas you specify and are safe you.
- We use a standard, flat massage table and accommodate pregnancy with a side-lying position, supported by pillows and bolsters—similar to how you may sleep at night.
- If you are specifically looking for a therapist with prenatal/postnatal certification or a facility that offers tables with belly cut-outs, we can offer suggestions for offsite services.
Seated/Chair Massage Group Events
- Seated massage appointment may be available upon request. The benefits of seated massage are similar to table massage modalities, but with the convenience of shorter sessions and no need to undress. The massage chair is designed to promote muscle relaxation and allow the therapist to comfortably target the key tension areas neck, back, and arms.
